3 tbsp heavy cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (177C). Line a 8x8 square baking pan with parchment paper on all sides and set aside.
Step 2
With a whisk, beat butter, and granulated sugar together until fluffy and mixture turns an off-white colour (about 2 minutes). Add the egg, and vanilla extract and mix until a smooth consistency.
Step 3
Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms. Place the dough and spread it out evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Step 4
Bake the bars for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the edges have turned a golden brown colour, but the center is still gooey.
Step 5
For the frosting, start off by beating the butter on medium-high until the mixture turns off-white while scraping down the sides of the bowl (about 5 minutes). Then slowly add the powdered sugar until incorporated, mixing on low, increasing the speed to high. Add heavy cream, vanilla and salt. Whip the mixture until fluffy.
Step 6
Once the bars have completely cooled, use an offset spatula or the back of a spoon to evenly spread the frosting onto the cooled bars, top with festive holiday sprinkles then cut into 16 bars. Enjoy!
