You’re probably wondering why and how are these inside out chocolate chip cookies. Think of a regular chocolate chip cookie, containing a brown sugar cookie base with chocolate chips. Well, “inside out” means that the cookie base is chocolate and the add-in is white chocolate chips. So, its basically as if you switch the cookie inside out! It’s such a fun and easy way to create a delicious cookie, by taking the idea of a regular chocolate chip cookie and making it inside out!

Ingredients For Inside Out Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Unsalted Butter: Using unsalted butter allows you to fully control the amount of salt going into your cookies.

  • Brown & Granulated Sugar: This recipe uses a combination of both sugars to ensure a soft, chewy and crunchy cookies

  • Eggs: Eggs will bind your cookies together.

  • Vanilla Extract: Will give the cookies are depth of flavor.

  • All Purpose Flour: The all purpose flour is perfect for these cookies it creates a tender cookie.

  • Cocoa Powder: Dutch process cocoa powder is the best to use to achieve a rich and chocolaty cookie.

  • Baking soda: It’s a leavening agent.

  • Salt: Any baked goods need salt. Salt is used to balance out the sweetness of any dessert.

  • White Chocolate Chips: The type of chocolate used makes a huge difference in the final outcome of your baked goods, so make sure to use high quality white chocolate chips.

Tips for making Inside Out Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Add the wet ingredients together as shown below in step 2

Using room temperature butter helps evenly mix and distribute all the ingredients together, creating better and gooier cookies.

Add dry ingredients together and mix them very well.

Adding in the milk after mixing in all the dry ingredients helps smooth out the dough.

Chill cookie dough in refrigerator: Chilling the cookie dough for 2-3 hours allows the flour to absorb and let the flavors settle in. This creates a super soft gooey canter, while still having the crunchy edges.

Scooping: After chilling the dough, scoop into 1,5 ounce balls and place on prepared parchment paper lined tray.

Baking: Once baked, let them cool a few minutes then devour these insane fudgy, soft and gooey cookies!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter, room temperature

  • 2/3 cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp milk

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour

  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp espresso powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 1/4 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (177C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2

  • With a whisk, beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar together until fluffy and mixture turns an off-white color (about 2 minutes). Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until a smooth consistency.

Step 3

  • Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms. Then add the milk and mix. Finally add white chocolate chips and mix until combined.

Step 4

  • Use a 1,5 ounce cookie scoop. Bake for 10 to 11 minutes, or until the center has slightly puffed up. Enjoy!
